Soulfun is a good-looking companion app with natural voice calls, and it offers video calls too. If talking matters more to you than typing, it is worth trying.

It is poor value for text. Premium is $19.99 a month and comes with 1,000 coins, and every text message costs a coin. Apps such as SpicyChat AI let you type as much as you like for less.

What it does well

• Natural voice calls. The voices sound natural, which is the reason to pick it.
• Video calls. Priced by the minute in coins.
• Attractive characters. A curated gallery across realistic, anime and fantasy styles.
• A clean, fast interface. Easy to find your way around.
• Clear coin rates. The subscription terms state what each action costs.

Where it falls short

• Text costs coins. One coin for each message, so the allowance is a cap on chat too.
• Calls drain the allowance. A long voice or video call uses most of a month's coins.
• No cheap tier. The terms list a single Premium plan, with nothing lower for people who only chat.
• Cancelling takes a form. You cancel by logging in and sending a request through the feedback form.
• No refunds for fees already charged, per the terms.

So 1,000 coins are 1,000 messages, or 100 minutes of voice, or 50 minutes of video. Most people will mix them, which makes the month shorter than it looks. Extra coin packs are sold separately.

Earlier reports put Soulfun at $14 to $22 a month. The $19.99 above is the figure in its own terms.

A limited trial. On 8 October 2026 the home page also advertised 30 days of free text chats for people who join. Check what the offer covers before you count on it.

Soulfun allows uncensored chat with its companions, along with voice and photos.

Payment and privacy

The terms ask for a valid payment method such as a credit card. Soulfun has also taken crypto through NowPayments, plus Trustly, Skrill and local wallets.

The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Because cancelling goes through a form and may need identity checks, do it several days before the renewal date.
